FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Summer is a great time to rest and relax. It is also a good time to be planning for the year ahead. Please take care that the clothes you are buying for your children are appropriate schoolwear. If you are planning on purchasing a new school bag for your elementary child please take note of the following classroom cubby dimensions: K-2nd grade 37cm wide x 43 deep x 44 high. 3-5th grade 35cm wide x 28 deep x 37 high.
This week we say goodbye to a number of families. I would like to thank each one of you for your impact on our school. May God bless your future endeavors. We will miss you.
Have an amazing summer!
Tim Heading
SUMMER MUSIC & INSTRUMENT CHECK-OUT
Music students, if you will be on-island this summer and would like to check out some music to practice, you can do so on the last day of school beginning at 10:30 AM in the band room. If you want to rent an instrument over the summer, please pay NT $550 to our Cashier and bring your receipt to the band room the same time as summer music check-out.
K-8 students: last day to purchase RC piano books or any theory books, will be this Friday morning.
MS MUSIC UNIFORMS
Summer is always a good time to purchase clothing for the next school year. Since MS students grow quickly, please check to see if your child needs new performance clothes. All MS music students need the following clothing for next year's performances:
Girls - white blouse (that can be tucked into a skirt that is provided by the school); black closed-toe shoes (no sandals)
Boys - white long-sleeves shirt with collar; black (or dark color) dress pants; black shoes; black socks
SUMMER MUSIC LESSONS
If you are interested in taking Piano or Strings (Violin, Viola, Cello and Double Bass) please contact Ms. Ruan on 0921-379266 or Mr. Brown. Thank you!
SUMMER MISSION ADVENTURE OPPORTUNITY
For ages 12 and above: This summer Kings Kids International (a ministry of YWAM) is hosting a Gateway outreach training camp on island. The camp will be July 23-28 at Christ's College (Tam Sui, Taipei). A 12-day biking outreach opportunity is available immediately following the camp. There are alternate opportunities available including community service. The cost is 6000 NT for the camp and the bike trip is 8400 NT. The ministry sounds great. We will try to organize a team from Morrison. Please sign up in the office. There are brochures also in the office and posters around campus.
