Our programseeks to address the needs of our two primary types of students. Thefirst type is non-native Chinese speakers. The emphasis of theirinstruction will be listening and speaking. The second type is thenative Chinese speakers. The emphasis of their instruction will bereading and writing. Non-native speakers will learn vocabulary,patterns, and phrases for speaking and listening. Generally, nativespeakers will continue to develop their speaking and listening skillsbut will also study characters for reading and writing. All studentswill learn aspects of Chinese culture, the singing of Christian songsin Chinese, and experience Chinese holiday customs.
